The King Room was really spacious and had loads of natural light, which I loved. It felt clean and comfortable overall. The beds were decent, but I did notice some signs of wear, like peeling paint and a few scuffs on the furniture. Still, it was a cozy place to crash after a busy day. The shower was good too, with nice pressure and hot water, which was a plus!

stunning access to the new forest and quaint local shops
I had a great stay at this charming hotel, just a few steps away from the new forest heritage centre and only a short stroll to the lovely tea room nearby, making my weekend city walk both convenient and delightful. the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, ensuring that i felt right at home throughout my visit. for solo travelers like me, the friendly atmosphere and spacious rooms really added to the experience, but it would have been nice if the room had been a bit cleaner in certain areas.

The family room fits four comfortably, plenty of space even with a travel cot. Dinner offers a good range with delicious portions, especially the puddings that were a hit after a long day of exploring.
Room design felt cramped, particularly with the TV position making it tough to watch from the bed. The bathroom had low water pressure and some areas needed a good clean, particularly the grout. Noise from the road could be bothersome when trying to sleep, especially with fans being too loud for nighttime use.
